Chanteur contestataire par excellence, Bob Dylan est sans nul doute un très bon exemple de cette contre-culture des années 60 qui vit le jour au doux et chaud soleil de la Californie.

Bob Dylan - Robert Allen Zimmerman de son vrai nom - est né le 24 mai 1941 à Duluth, dans le Minnesota. Auteur, chanteur, compositeur et interprète, son style musical a évolué au fil des années : rock, folk, country, blues et jazz sont les exemples de la diversité de son œuvre.

Depuis ses débuts, il a, par ses textes et par sa recherche de voies nouvelles (à l’encontre de son public parfois), sensiblement marqué la culture musicale contemporaine : en témoignent les nombreux artistes qui se réclament de son influence (David Bowie, Jeff Buckley, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, etc.

Son titre le plus célèbre reste sans aucun doute le fameux "Blowin' the wind", un hymne libertaire et pacifiste tant et tant de fois repris par divers interprètes aux quatre coins du globe.
